Kuro Games Brings WuWa Predecessor Punishing Gray Raven To Steam
The launch coincides with the drop of the Withering Crown update and the Breaker class.

A little later today – in about three hours as of this writing – Kuro Games’ post-apocalyptic action game, Punishing Gray Raven, will be launching on Steam. If you haven’t heard about this game before, it’s not completely new. It actually launched globally on mobile devices in 2021 and has been available on PC via its own launcher since 2023. That means it predates Kuro’s other popular free-to-play title, Wuthering Waves.
It’s not just the Steam launch that’s interesting about the PGR news, however. The Steam drop coincides with the release of a game-changing patch named Withering Crown. The update introduces the new Breaker class to the game, creating a new tank role that does more than just standing in the front and taking all the hits. This particular tank also focuses on wearing the enemy down so that the rest of the team can do real damage. Apparently, this will change the way a lot of players approach the game. Of course, this is a gacha game, so that new class comes in the form of a new character – or in PGR’s terminology: an S-rank Dark Construct named Rosetta: Arete.
Withering Crown also expands on core game systems, introducing a new memory set, kicking off a new companion story, adding a new boss, and more.
