XD Games Reveals Official Launch Date For Cozy Multiplayer Sim Heartopia
If you’re planning on getting the game on Steam, you’ll have to wait a bit longer than everyone else.

Cozy sim fans have something to look forward to pretty early in the new year, as XD Games announced a release date of January 7 for the upcoming social life sim game, Heartopia, on PC – excluding Steam, iOS, and Android. For those looking to grab the game on Steam, the press release states it will be available on Valve’s platform at a later, unspecified date.
If you’re planning on picking up the game but haven’t pre-registered yet, the registration period is still open. That means there’s still time to earn goodies to start the game with, including 4000 Gold, 20 Wishing Stars, 400 Moonlight Crystals, and 60 Exhibition Passes. Those who took part in the beta tests, successfully created a character, and leveled that character to 18 will also receive some special cosmetic items at launch.
Heartopia promises players “light and comforting exploration” and “gentle activities” intended to be relaxing for players rather than grindy. One thing that makes it different from a lot of cozy games is its setting. Rather than being an island, village, or something similar, it’s set in an urban environment, allowing for real-time encounters with other players as well as NPCs.
