Alien Collaboration Was A Dream Come True, Says Dead By Daylight Developers
The Xenomorph fits right in.
I did not see the Dead by Daylight and Disney collaboration coming.
In a recent interview with Game Rant, Behaviour Interactive discussed their partnership to introduce the Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley from the Alien franchise into the game's 29th DLC chapter. They saw the Xenomorph especially as a classic horror character deserving of a place in Dead by Daylight. The collaboration with Disney was a dream come true, and described as highly collaborative and supportive — with the company embracing the team's ideas.
The addition of the Xenomorph as a killer also brought unique gameplay elements to Dead by Daylight. Behaviour Interactive said they aimed to strike a balance between accessibility for new players and depth for experienced ones. As for Ellen Ripley, the introduction of remote flame turrets and steam pipes added strategic depth to the game. And the Nostromo map is filled with Easter eggs and references from the Alien franchise.
Regarding future plans for the game, the developers remained tight-lipped about potential new characters or DLC chapters, teasing that there might be more surprises in store for players.

That's why they:
didn't get license to use Sigourney Weaver face (and made some trans-Rambo instead)
didn't get license for xenomorph's design (and instead changed shapes here and there so it still resembles xenomorph at first glance, but with closer look you'll see everything what's off)
didn't get license for the queen (and once again gone through alterations in design: they attached her real head to protector so they turn together, while protector should stay in place, while hear head ejects from underneath of it and turns freely, also they completely reworked her lower body giving her hips and round butt-cheecks, which none of the xenomorphs ever had including the queen)
didn't get license for newborn (and called him clone instead with multiple alterations: no more face, no human belly and breast, addition of the tail...because... duh, they made tail his power... which is definitely not AVP rip-off)
didn't get avp license and just called skin "Grid Xenomorph - scarred from combat"
Bhvr at their finest screwing up yet another franchise they attempt to license.
