Aion 2 Stream

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from the developers of Aion 2. If you don’t recall, the previous livestream took place back in May, during which time we were given information on the MMORPG’s setting and some features like mounts. Now, thanks to a second stream, we have a bit more information about the game. The approximately hour-and-a-half stream took place a few days ago, and covered quite a few things, ranging from those who have participated in the game’s testing phases sharing their feelings on the game.

According to MeinMMO, who translated and summarized the stream, the gameplay experience is reflected fairly accurately in the trailers, especially the mount-related stuff. During the stream, the devs showed off various features like character creation, pets, interacting with merchants, and the like. Viewers also got a look at 4-player dungeon content.

This allowed players a look at the game’s combat UI, which is apparently still being fleshed out. Still, from the video, we know that the various classes in the game will each have around 40 skills, and players will need to choose 12 abilities to use. It seems they’ll be able to create different ability sets for different scenarios as well.

As mentioned in the previous stream, the game’s servers are faction-specific, with opposing factions only being able to meet in certain worlds. The devs also discussed additional combat content, such as Nightmare Dungeons, featuring 10 levels and a ranking system, random seal dungeons with both PvE and PvP, co-op dungeons, and more.
