Astrum Oyun has announced that its free-to-play arena shooter NCORE now has an official Steam page and is preparing for a second alpha test this fall. Those interested can wishlist the game and subscribe for updates to secure a spot in the test, with exclusive rewards promised at launch.

Set in a near-future world dominated by corporations, NCORE revolves around gladiator-style battles where fighters compete for fame and fortune. It features a dynamic multi-arena system, built from hex-shaped zones players can freely move between mid-match. Each hex offers a distinct environment — from medieval villages to zombie-infested cities — and some have unique rules, adding tactical depth. Players can also use transformable weapons that instantly shift between ranged and melee forms to suit evolving combat situations.

Originally announced in November 2024, NCORE’s first alpha test in March 2025 drew over 20,000 players, according to the developers. Based on community feedback, they have implemented significant updates, including overhauled shooting mechanics, weapon rebalancing, PvP and PvE improvements, and performance optimizations.

The upcoming alpha will debut the revamped Token Hunt mode, where teams compete to gather and deposit tokens. New content includes a Statue of Liberty hex, the Katana sniper rifle, the boss weapon Thunder, a new PvE enemy type, and expanded customization. Enhanced tutorials, player profiles, and an upgraded task system are also planned.
