Redout II

Today, Saber Interactive and 34BigThings revealed a hot new trailer for the anti-gravity racing game sequel, Redout 2, with an official launch date of May 26 for PC and consoles. It's the "biggest and fastest entry in the series yet," featuring a handful of changes for single-player campaigns and competitive online multiplayer.

Redout 2 is an easy pick-up and play type of game in which players strafe, tilt, and boost their customizable hovership through "dozens of jaw-dropping courses in a variety of game modes." It seems to be the perfect time sinker through its singer-player content and definitely could lead to some heated fun in multiplayer with up to 12 players on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, yet sadly only up to six for Nintendo Switch.

What makes it stand out compared to its first installment are the new 36 unique racetracks that you can play in a reverse mode. Across these maps, players can do Arena Races, Time Attacks, or Last Man Standing modes, just to name a few. And there are 12 distinct chassis to fully deck out your hovership with a selection of propulsors, rudders, wings, rockets, etc. Not to mention, Redout 2 launches with a banger electronic soundtrack from acclaimed talents like Giorgio Moroder and Dance with the Dead, which seamlessly blends real-time with your races.
