Things Are About To Get Electric In Apex Legends’ Upcoming Aftershock Event

In a little over a week, on March 31, Apex Legends is kicking off the Aftershock event. As you may have guessed from the title, the event will be electrifying in a few ways. The free-to-play shooter’s Wildcard will feature some powerful new features. All legends will be equipped with a Vortex Shield intended to catch incoming bullets and the ability to use an EMP Blast to cause as much damage as possible. The trick in both cases is to remember that both features rely on battery power, and those batteries can be drained.

To keep the Vortex Shield’s battery charged – and keep the shield in place – players will need to collect EVO. As for the EMP, collecting EVO will work, but players can also recharge it by blocking damage with the Vortex Shield or using the Wild Cards. There are nine new electric-themed Wild Cards for players to use.

Of course, participating in the event will earn players new rewards. That includes new Legend Skins for Wattson, Ash, Pathfinder, Horizon, Crypto, and Gibraltar. New weapon skins are available as well. A rundown of the event and rewards can be found on the Apex Legends site.
