ArenaNet Schedules Next Test Of Guild Wars 2’s WvW System Restructure, Offering Exclusive Weapon To Testers
The beta kicks off soon.
ArenaNet is in the process of changing how teams are created in Guild Wars 2's World vs World. The idea is to adjust the population balance and offer players a chance to compete against new people every week. This “World Restructuring” focuses on using a player’s selected World vs World guild to select their team rather than using worlds or servers to do it.
On June 9, the devs will be hosting a beta event to test this new system. It will last until June 23. During this test, they’ll run two matchups in a row using the new system, giving them a chance to test scaling and fix any bugs that crop up. If everything goes well, a second test will take place during the summer.
Players wanting to participate in the MMORPG's test will need to choose a guild to play with using the Guild menu in the game. To do this they’ll need to pick a guild and click “Set as WvW Guild” just below the guild list. Taking part in the event will earn players rewards, including an exclusive weapon.
