Battle Bands: Rock & Roll Deckbuilder Offers Unique Spin On Collectible Games
Demo available now, includes co-op mode against four bosses.
Time to get the band back together -- or maybe just "together," for the demo of Aerie Digital's Battle Bands: Rock & Roll Deckbuilder, which is available now until October 8. Touting the tagline "the deck is your instrument," Battle Bands offers solo or co-op play in a roguelike campaign with challenging AI bosses and loads of customization options.
Instead of "colors," like in most card games, you'll choose an instrument -- guitar, bass, keyboard, or drums -- to base your deck around. Form a band with other players to take on the campaign or to challenge all comers in the ultimate Battle of the Bands PvP mode, a 64-player tournament waged in 4v4 contests.
The Battle Bands demo includes four bosses from the game's Tour mode and five original compositions from FatBard, which provided the soundtrack for the game. The game will be released into early access later this year. Learn more about Battle Bands, and download the demo, via the game's Steam page.
