CCP Games Named One Of The Best Places To Work
Easier to fit in and less frustrating than learning to play Eve Online.
"I know we normally don't cover stuff like this, but let's roll with it since we've had to cover so many shitty places to work lately." That was the note Magicman included in a forwarded email to me with the headline of "CCP Games Earns Designation as a Great Place to Work-Certified™ Organization in 2021!" and I tended to agree.
The certification comes from a body that states that it uses "validated employee feedback gathered with Great Place to Work’s rigorous, data-driven For All methodology," which culminated in 65% of employees rating their experience working at the Eve Online developer as "consistently positive." Admittedly, that doesn't seem especially high, but a quick peek at CCP's Glassdoor page shows over 90% approval and a 4.5/5 overall experience, so I guess it really is nice to work there.
It's not just the Icelandic peoples who like working at CCP either; it was also one of 61 companies named to the "Best Workplaces in Greater China" list, based on "employees' perceptions of leadership, organizational culture and trust."
You can learn more about Great Places To Work, and browse to see if your employer made a list, on the organization's website.
