More Contracts And More Events For World Of Tanks: Mercenaries In September
World of Tanks' console cousin, World of Tanks: Mercenaries has a lot going on in September. Events include Take Point, which runs until Sept. 28, and introduces a number of daily Ops for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. Complete the ops to rack up points which can be spent on prizes of various tiers, culminating with a Scourge Kirovets-1 premium tank.
There's also the aptly named Tankman Day, a Russian holiday commemorating the tankers of World War II; that will net players 3x XP for their first wins on Sept. 8 and 5x XP on Sept. 9. The last event is the Fight For Your Academy event, which runs from Sept. 19-23 and sorts players into different factions -- no, not Hufflepuff or Slytherin -- with prizes going to each academy's exemplary players.
September also brings a new map, the Hidden Village, on the 18th, and five new tanks that can be obtained by fulfilling contracts. There's also a new premium tank, the Trinity Mk II, which is a modified version of the tank that "completed a daring mission" in War Stories. It's available until Oct. 2, and you can learn more about it on the Mercenaries site.
