Crypto-Based MMO Ember Sword Is Adding New Leadership From Some High Profile Studios
The game is pulling devs previously associated with big-name developers.
Bright Star Studios, the developer of the upcoming crypto-based MMO Ember Sword, is growing. This week, the company revealed that several new members have been added to the team – specifically, the leadership team. Depending on your familiarity with game developers in general, some of these names may be familiar. Even if they are not, the companies they hail from will be.
According to the announcement, Bright Star is building out the leadership team as part of their promise to “build the best gaming experiences [they] can. The structure is built around Co-Founder Joris Huijbregts becoming Chief Development Officer. Other positions filled include VP of Marketing, in-game Art Director, Game Director, VP of Operation, and VP of Infrastructure. These roles are being filled by Amber Sutera, Sinisa Vuckovic, Max Zimnukhov, Christope Celard, and Thomas Hector, respectively. Other leadership roles have been filled as well, but no names were provided.
As I said above, you may not recognize the individual names, particularly with those positions being mostly of the kind that don’t interface with players much, but you’ll definitely recognize the companies they come from. Companies such as Blizzard, Riot Games, Discovery, CD Projekt Red, and Disney. The current plan is for the team to focus on the game’s community and supporting Ember Sword’s creation – at least according to the announcement. The post ends with some words from a few members of the team, talking about the evolution of MMOs, making things easier on players, and more. Said post can be read in full on Medium.
