What's that lurking around the corner? Is it a giant behemoth ready to rip our your entrails and feast on them? Not yet! Instead, it's Dauntless' alpha testing, coming soon to a PC near you!

How soon? According to Phoenix Labs, "The first alpha test is expected to launch in the next couple of months and will continue into the summer, with a cadence of tests scheduled throughout." If you want to be considered for the first expeditions to the Shattered Isles, you can sign up on the Dauntless website. Alpha testers will be chosen based on a variety of factors, including "hardware specifications, location, favorite game genres and more." Better tell them you like Monster Hunter.

The release schedule for Dauntless is pretty aggressive, too, with open beta scheduled for the fall. If you need a refresher on the game, be sure to check out our interview from PAX South.
