Dead By Daylight Shares Renato Lyra’s Lore Story
The new survivor will be introduced in DBD’s new DLC Chapter
Dead by Daylight has just dropped the official lore on one of their upcoming Survivors, Renato Lyra. Lyra is one of 36 Survivors and will be introduced as one of the two Survivors of Chapter 27: Tools of Torment, a DLC Chapter set to release on March 7, 2023.
Renato, like many, was a socially awkward child who struggled to make friends. Instead of socializing with others, Renato filled his time with solving puzzles and annoying his sister, Thalita. In an attempt to improve his social skills, Renato started to volunteer at a kite shop, he then continued on this path and volunteered at a retirement home where he learned to care for others.
Thalita later approached Renato and asked if he would be a partner in a new venture, a kite-fighting shop called Fun Kites Rio. Renato accepted immediately, excited for the ultimate puzzle. One day after completing a successful kite-fighting tournament, Thatlita and Renato noticed a drone in the sky. Thalita challenged Renato to see who could down the drone first.
After the drone ate up Thalita’s kite and began to fall in a slow, smokey descent. The two went in search of the drone. As Renato tried to untangle the kite from the drone’s dead rotor blades–suddenly a bloody hand reached out from the dark forest and– well, we won't spoil that here.
