New Destiny 2 Video Shows Exactly How Powerful Strand Will Be When Lightfall Launches

When Bungie drops the Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2, it will introduce the game’s next Darkness subclass, Strand. This subclass will allow players to manipulate the fabric of the universe. Warlock, Titan, and Hunter all get their own variation on this new subclass – each ideal for their base class.

The Warlock Broodweaver subclass uses Needlestorm. This ability allows them to float into the air and bring forth piercing Strand missiles. Once the missiles hit their target, they explode and become “Threadlings” that will chase nearby targets.

Titan’s new subclass, Berserker, weaves massive blades onto their arms that can be used both in light and heavy attacks. The light attacks are faster and help build energy for the heavy attack which launches projectiles when the blades are swung.

Finally, the Hunter Threadrunner uses Silkstrike. With this ability, they weave a rope dart to use on their enemies. There’s a light and heavy version of this as well. Light throws the dart forward to hit a single enemy, while heavy swings the rope dart around a big area, dealing damage to all enemies within reach.
