We're almost at the end of the Echo of Soul class reveals for Aeria Games' upcoming free to play MMORPG. With the last Warrior reveal being a bit lackluster, in my opinion, I wasn't holding out too much hope for this most recent reveal, the Guardian class.
While the video above didn't shock or amaze me, I did rather like the spear combat that the Guardian specializes in. It's very "Dragoon" when you look at it, and I'm fine with that. As for the Guardian class itself, their power is derived from their communing with nature and charging their attacks with either earth or lighting power. These attacks can also restore vitality to the Guardian making them highly survivable.
As with all classes in Echo of Soul, the Guardian can specialize in one of two ways. For those that like a tanking option, Earthguard specialization makes you a viable off tank (and sometimes main tank) and gives you the power to stun enemies to keep them in place. The Stormguard specialization lets you turn into an AOE machine and rain lightning down on your foes.
With beta starting sometime next month, head on over to the game's website and sign up.
