EQ2's Game Update 104 Brings Major Class Balance Pass And New Familiars
EverQuest 2 just pushed out Game Update 104, which -- really? One hundred and four? That's how old your great-grandmother is, not how many updates an MMO is supposed to have.
In any case, here we are, at GU104: Sol's Summer, which went live yesterday and added a new set of familiars to EQ2 and two new Proving Grounds zones, including the first meant for duos. Expert mode raids are also live for the Lost City of Torsis: Ashiirian Court and Ruins of Kaesora: Ancient Xalgozian Temple.
GU104 also brings a "rather large balance pass which adjusts the outgoing damage across most classes." Assassins, wizards, and warlocks will feel the changes the most, though all classes will receive some tinkering. More will be coming with the next expansion, scheduled in three months' time. A prelude quest goes live in September, which offers a "major reward." For a game that's 104 updates old, maybe that will be a walker or oxygen machine.
More info on Game Update 104 can be found on the EverQuest 2 site and forums.
