Fall Guys Is Finally Free, But It's Also Gone From Steam
Yes. The change is going to affect Steam a bit.
As promised, Fall Guys is available to players for free starting today. At the same time, the game has also launched on the Xbox and Nintendo Switch and, of course, there’s new content. Said content includes a new season pass, new rounds, and new costumes. (We all know you’re really here for the costumes, admit it.) Yes, players can use crossplay and form cross-platform parties. Cross-progression is also supported, provided players have an Epic Games account to tie the game to.
Oh. Yes. Did we mention Epic Games? So, yes. About that…the move to the Epic Games Store isn’t “in addition” to its existence on Steam – not exactly anyway. With the recent changes, the game is no longer available for new players to download on Valve’s platform. If someone already owns the game on Steam, they’ll be fine and even receive the same updates as players on other platforms, but any other PC players who’d like to grab the game now that it’s free will have to head over to the Epic Games Store – or play it on a console they have.
