Final Fantasy XIV Live Letter 70 Date

April, and the Final Fantasy XIV 6.1 patch, aren’t far off now. That means players will soon be able to jump into “Newfound Adventure” and find out what’s happened in the months since we all defeated the embodiment of despair and returned home to the source – other than our little jaunt back into the past because those Ancients just can’t seem to handle their own problems.

A couple of weeks ago, Yoshi-P and the XIV team offered us details on some of what we should expect when the game’s next update hits, as well as beyond. They discussed some of the story content – including the return of Hildibrand and Tataru’s personal questline – the Ishgardian housing, and the Arkasorda tribe quests. Of course, not all of this is landing in 6.1, some of it will be rolled out over time.

While Yoshi-P spent nearly three hours discussing the upcoming content, he did not cover everything and promised a follow-up Live Letter, a part 2, at a later date. Now, we know that date. The next stream is scheduled to take place nearly a month after the last one on April 1. (No, it’s not a joke...at least as far as we know.) Of course, that means the update should arrive about two weeks later, so they won’t miss the broad date of “sometime in April”. As for the content of the 70th Live Letter, the announcement on the Lodestone simply states they’ll be discussing 6.1 and “miscellaneous updates”.

If you hope to watch the stream live, it will start at 11:00 GMT (7:00 Eastern). The stream will be available on YouTube and Twitch. Of course, if you miss it, we’ll have the VOD here on the site.
