Warframe Updates

It's been a long time coming but today is finally the day as Digital Extremems adds cross platform play into the F2P space ninja game Warframe. Starting now, just after the Lua's Prey launch, players on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch can band together in missions and meet in Relays and Dojos.

The cross platform option can be toggled on and off in your Game Options menu. In addition, should you encounter duplicate names, each player now has a numerical suffix attached to their name. While you can see yours in the Profile menu, you won't really need it unless you are trying to invite a friend (or be invited) to a group with a duplicate name.

Right now, VoIP is not enabled in-game across platforms. That feature will be enabled later. On the topic of features that are coming later, cross progression (or Cross Platform Save, if you prefer) is still in development, so it's coming, just not yet.

If you have any questions on the feature, check out the entire Cross Platform Play blog from the Digital Extremes team.
