Firefall Rings in Wintertide Event

Nothing says the holidays quite like whacking elves with very large pieces of equipment! Starting later this afternoon and running until January 6, the team at Red 5 Studios is putting its own spin on MMO holiday events with the Wintertide event.

Players can take part in a number of holiday themed activities to net them some snazzy rewards. These rewards can be claimed at the Wintertide vendors in Copacabana, Dredge, and Kanaloa Research Station.

"What are the events, Magicman?" Well, settle down and I'll tell you. You can attempt to help Father Wintertide restore his shot down sled and save the present from bandits. Not a bad way to score some favor with the Big Guy, but not my favorite event. Next up, how about a holiday snowball fight in any of the snowball arenas set up all over the world? Again, certainly the holiday spirit, but still not my favorite event.

My favorite? Whack an Elf. Yep! You can spawn this little mini-game anywhere you please and it's all just for you. Whack elves with a huge hammer, earn points, profit.

SUUPER SHIT! What ideots playing this crap, devs rob players all the time with taking off resources and all sttuff u had, there is nothing to do, brainless thumping again and again, instances no one playing because these are for pay to win players ONLY, avoid this chinease game with alot of lies, they care to get back 25 given millions so expect only new things in cash shop .

Of all the newer MMOs I have pleasure to play Firefall looks like the one that is getting the most content upgrades, events, and not just cosmetic costumes and money traps. Have been in and out of the game since old beta and have not spend a dime on the game - unlocking frames one by one and leveling was actually the most fun time in game, got the beta LGV and few glider pads trough playing too... I almost feel bad since I have not contributed a single $ to developers and had a ton of fun. I feel the game is getting better fast and I hope it does not go south from here.

I don't think the game is going to last for long. It's not even shown in the Steam stat anymore for over 2 months
