Funcom Shows Off Some Of The Highlights Of Arrakis In New Dune: Awakening Video
Get a closer look at the desert planet.
As we get closer to the launch of Dune: Awakening sometime this year, Funcom is busy generating the hype. Today, the developer dropped a video of the game’s world, Arrakis, where players will be working not only to survive but also to build an empire of their own. Of course, as we all know, Dune takes place on a desert planet, meaning players won’t be seeing all of the biomes they might run across in other games.
To some players, a game set only in the desert might seem boring. Let’s be honest, some games don’t do deserts very well. In reality, they can be amazing places to visit, with stunning views. Unfortunately, most games don’t really capture all of that, which is why some players would rather not live in a game world that consists of nothing but desert.
Obviously, Funcom wants players to want to live in Arrakis. Today, they shared a video showing off some of the scenic views players can expect to see while trying to not let the environment kill them.
