Genshin Impact Prepares For Version 2 Phase II With New Character Teasers And Event Info
Phase II of Genshin Impact's Version 2.0 update is more or less upon us, with a new Wish Event featuring two new characters arriving on August 10th and other in-game events with various rewards rolling out. The Wish Event features the five-star pyro character Yoimiya as well as the new four-star Anemo character Sayu.
Most of us have already met Yoimiya, Inazuma's famous fireworks maker while doing the new story content. Sayu, on the other hand, is new. She's a sleepy little ninja, and a member of the Shuumatsuban, a secret organization under the Yashiro Commission. To prepare for their arrival as playable characters, miHoYo has dropped the usual character trailers and posts outlining their various characteristics on the game's site. You can view the trailers below, but you'll have to hit up the site for the full down-low on Yoimiya and Sayu.
As for the events, Phase II sees the return of the Lost Riches event -- with an additional mini-Seelie color. This one is already under way, and you'll find the quest available in your journal. On August 8, the Theater Mechanics event is back. Then, later this month, players can also expect a Phantom Flow challenge event that will reward them with Primogems, and a Ley Line Overflow event.
