Global Alpha Test For Vindictus: Defying Fate Starts Next Week
Compared to the previous Pre-Alpha phase, this one has new characters as well as better content and combat.
A (free) global Alpha Test for Vindictus: Defying Fate, Nexon’s upcoming action RPG, is set to launch during Steam Next Fest on June 8 at 7 PM (PDT).
This open test follows a Pre-Alpha phase and introduces new characters, improved content, and a more refined combat system. No registration is needed, as anyone can participate by downloading the demo directly from the Steam store page. It goes until June 16 (a minute before midnight).
The test supports English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese subtitles, with in-game voice acting available in English and Korean. Player feedback is sought via in-game surveys, including a brief mid-session survey and a longer follow-up.
To run the game, players will need at minimum a 64-bit Windows 10 system with at least 16 GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 or RX 480 GPU. The recommended setup, though, calls for an RTX 3060 or RX 5700 XT. Please note that apparently those using NVIDIA Graphics Driver version 576 may encounter crashes, so the developers advise downgrading to version 572 or earlier.
Gameplay data will be wiped after the test ends, and any scheduled maintenance during the event will be announced in advance.
