Wuxia-inspired MMORPG Swordsman is slicing its way toward a closed beta period that begins this June 16th, and will finish up later into the month on the 27th. Any who register now will be granted access to the closed beta, and unlock some exclusive items only available to the early worms.

With martial arts as the main focus in this clashing of blades, Swordsman features a dense universe that is parallel to Louis Cha’s wuxia novels. Potential champions of the sword can join one of ten class defining schools of martial arts, opposing forces from other schools as well as the Ming government.

Although it is unclear what the exclusive items they speak of actually are, it can only be assumed that they will be relatively beneficial to anybody looking for a tip-top closed beta experience. Anyone interested in snagging those items and slashing up the closed beta can find sign ups at the official website.

I don’t think so, as long as PWE is in this it probably will suck big ass since their most successful game was left in half and never touched again.

Yea I think the problem with most of newer martial-arts games is that they try to be too realistic, which inturn makes it dull and boring when I just wanna kick@ss like a bad mofo.

Hopefully it provides a good martial arts feel compared to other games.
