Gran Turismo 7 Gets Three New Tracks Today, Increases Player Rewards...Because They Had To
It's an effort to re-balance the game's stagnant reward system since its last update.
After player outrage over the grind-y nature of earning in-game rewards in the wake of Gran Turismo 7's last update, Polyphony Digital has inevitably bent the knee to "adjust" how much you can gain. Not only that but three new racecourses have been added to the World Circuit alongside other minor changes.
Even though the prize rate has been tweaked to benefit players, it's only in the latter half of the World Circuit. By clearing circuits with Gold or Bronze results, and in Lobbies and Daily races, you'll earn rewards that claim to squash the grind. Polyphony Digital also included goodies in Arcade and Custom races and raised the maximum cap for earned in-game credits to 100 million.
The three new tracks - Le Mans, Sardegna, and Tokyo Expressway - are another highlight of the update, added to the World Circuit with several new one-hour endurance race tracks that boast high pay-out. Then there are minor changes such as improved physics when landing from a high jump on dirt tracks, improved image quality of smoke for in-game screenshots, and cursory adjustments for console players struggling between menus.
