Guild Wars 2 Episode 3 Of The Icebrood Saga To Release Without Voice Acting
With most people involved in video game development sheltering in place, the development process is experiencing some snags. The dev teams are still busy at work from home, but things like voice acting are more difficult to do. Developers are handling this in different ways. Some are just delaying releases until the actors can get back in the studios to record their lines. But, in the case of Guild Wars 2, ArenaNet has decided to go a different way with the the release of Episode 3 of the Icebrood Saga.
Today, ArenaNet announced they'd be releasing the upcoming "No Quarter" update without voice acting -- for now. Eventually, once it's safe to have the voice actors, techs, directors, and everyone else involved in the recording process to return to the studio, the developer will do the proper recording and update the game to feature the actors. Until then, players will have to make due with text.
