Hardcore Mode In Modern Warfare 2 Is Making A Comeback In Upcoming Season 2 Launch
Developer Infinity Ward confirmed its return and will release further details in a blog later.
Today via Twitter, Infinity Ward confirmed Hardcore Mode would be finally arriving in Modern Warfare 2 with the delayed release of Season 2 in mid-February.
Details on the returning mode are supposed to be revealed sometime soon through a blog later this week, according to the developer's tweet.

Hardcore Mode offers a super competitive multiplayer experience where the heads-up display (HUD) gets removed, friendly fire is on, and players are squishy enough to get gunned down by one or two bullets.
Modern Warfare 2 had a similar challenging mode that launched alongside Season 1; however, fans have wanted the original Hardcore Mode experience from the shooter series to make a comeback.
Season 2 will launch on February 15th with new multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and more for Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward will provide a deep dive into Season 2 sometime this week, which likely will line up with the Hardcore Mode details.
