Hunt: Showdown Is Getting An Engine Upgrade, But It's A "Long, Technical Road"
The uncommon update will bring big improvements to the game's graphics and performance.
Hunt: Showdown is a FPS shooter that launched on PC in August 2019, then on Xbox One in September 2019, and finally on PS4 in February 2020. Right now, the game is celebrating its five-year anniversary with a big sale and new DLC.
Players will be pleased to know, however, that the developers at Crytek have announced an engine upgrade for Hunt: Showdown, which is not such a common occurrence. The update will mean huge improvements for the game’s graphics and performance, as well as encourage current fans to keep playing and new ones to join in on the fun.
“We're curious to see how high can the population, the engagement and all that stuff go,” David Fifield, general manager of the company, told PC Gamer. He also mentioned, "It is gonna be a long technical road, so people shouldn't expect it soon but it is a thing that's underway.”
