It’s Time For Star Trek Online Captains On Console To Work On Their Research & Development
Take advantage of those R&D Week bonuses.
If you’re a console Star Trek Online player who has been wanting to work on R&D projects, you’re about to get some help. Starting tomorrow, September 5, players of the MMORPG will be able to take advantage of boosts during the R&D Week event. Over four days, all R&D packs in the game will offer an extra 25% of the items players generally get from them. Some may even offer a Catalyst.
In addition, players can also look for Harvest Nodes, which will drop 2 extra R&D materials and 10 Dilithium Ore every time they are used. The nodes walso have a chance to drop an R&D catalyst during the event.
In addition, projects worked on during this event will offer an extra 50% of R&D School XP.
Research & Development isn’t the only thing going on in STO this weekend. Console players can also earn Bonus Commendation XP during Junior Officer Weekend. During the event, which takes place on the same days as the R&D event, players will earn 50% more Command XP for completing Duty Officer Assignments. In addition, players will also receive a free special Purple quality duty officer by speaking to the duty officer contact – provided they haven’t already taken part in the event.
