Another annual gaming event has been delayed thanks to COVID-19. This time, the Golden Gnome Awards, an annual event that typically occurs during Jagex's RuneFest, has been pushed back until November 20th. The deciding factor in the delay was the recent spike in infection rates in the local area, as well as an impending lockdown. Jagex determined that they didn't feel equipped to guarantee everyone's safety.

However, they still wanted to hold the event -- which celebrates artists, cosplayers, and more -- and have switched it to an entirely virtual event produced from the developer's homes. The event will be held on the Jagex Twitch channel on November 20th at 19:00 Game Time.
