Latest Forged In Aeternum Discusses Skin Designs Ahead Of This Summer's Transmog System
Find out how your favorite skin was made.
In the 18th edition of Forged In Aeternum, the New World team discusses what goes into creating player outfits in the MMORPG. The design team joins this session and discusses the process beginning with research. That includes thinking about things like time periods and cultures. The process also includes taking player feedback.
In the post accompanying the video, the team offers players a look at the process used in creating the Silent Death Armor Set. This is a set that was created with a “dark and gothic” feel in mind. It was also imagined as being assassin-like. They ultimately went with a dark fantasy style rather than anything historical.
Eventually, players will be able to wear their favorite skins, no matter what their level, as a transmog system will be coming to the game sometime this summer, so if you have something going you really like right now, don’t worry.
