Today, Nexon dropped the first of a two-part winter update for Mabinogi, the first of which, “Beyond” dropped today. The second update, “Arcana: Dark Arts” arrives in a little under a month on December 14.
The Beyond update features a renewal of the MMORPG's part-time job system. This addresses the experience gained in Erinn. It also changes requests and rewards, allowing players to choose the reward they want when a job is completed. Jobs are easily looked through with the addition of the job bulletin board, as well.
Players can now learn about spirit weapons from Eiry. This will be helpful for players who are new to the game as well as veterans. Speaking of new players, changes have been made to make it easier to get into the game. New quests have been added to guide players and a guide has been made available to help them figure out where to go next.
Other changes include tweaks to camerawork and cut scenes to take player race and height into consideration. In addition, wait times between fishing quests have been removed, and the difficulty of boss battles has been dropped.
