Mila Kunis And World Of Warcraft Team Up To Help Ukraine With Special Pet Pack
The proceeds go to BlueCheck Ukraine.
If you are still paying attention to, and would still like to help with, the Ukrainian war effort – and are a World of Warcraft player, Blizzard has an easy way for you to do that. Yes, you’re going to buy another minion for charity. Or, in this case, you’ll be buying two. Today, Blizzard announced – along with the help of actor Mila Kunis – a new pet bundle featuring a golden puppy named Sunny and a murloc by the name of Flurky. Both feature the colors of Ukraine’s flag and are pretty cute.
Kunis introduced the bundle in a video, along with the organization the bundle’s funds will be going to BlueCheck Ukraine. This organization’s mission is to identify and vet grassroots aid organizations in Ukraine and provide them with support. Basically, they spend the time figuring out exactly where funds can be best spent in order to help Ukrainians at any given time and ensure that your donations are going where they’ll be of the most help.
The MMORPG's pet pack runs $20 and, as noted, includes two pets. Sunny will be made available in players' Collections at purchase. Flurky will take an extra step. There will be a short quest available with the Innkeeper of any capital city to complete. Both pets are applied across a player’s Battle.net account.
Note: Activision Blizzard has been sued by California’s Civil Rights Department, alleging violations of California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and Equal Pay Act. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about the alleged violations within his company. These allegations have all been denied by Activision Blizzard and the company points to additional diversity and inclusion training as past examples of taking the accusations seriously at the time they were made.
