Mondstadt Character Buffs Have Arrived With Genshin Impact’s Version Luna III Update
At least for those closest to the great mage Alice.

After all this time, Genshin Impact players finally get to meet Alice – great Mage of the Hexenzirkel, friend to Mondstadt, and most importantly, Klee’s mom. Alice appears in Nod-Krai as part of the action RPG's ongoing storyline, along with some more familiar faces. I won’t go into the plot here; that’s for you to live through. But I will advise players to play the Archon Quest before moving on to the two other bits of content.
Both of what I’m about to mention involve Alice, even if it’s from a distance. And it will just make more sense to do them after. The first is a special story about Durin’s past and his mother. At least that’s what I’ve gotten out of it so far, as the questline makes you wait a day to continue between each section, requiring a total of five days to play. So, I’ve only played the first bit. That said, it should be worth doing because we get more Durin lore and more information about his mother. We also get a slightly modified outfit for the dragon-turned-human when it’s all done. It’s not too different from what he’s wearing now, but there are changes – including his wings.
The other bit of content is something players were happy to hear about as it gives new powers to characters that have been with us since we first entered Mondstadt – thanks to Alice. Yes, her again. If you have Klee, Venti, Albedo, Monda, Razor, Fischl, and Sucrose in your lineup, then you now have an opportunity to earn additional buffs for them by doing homework. Said buffs are a new “Witch’s Eve Rite” Talent for each character.
Players, of course, know that all of these characters have something else in common, other than just being from Mondstadt. They’re also tied to Alice in some way, either as family or close friends. That’s why you’ll also see Durin on the list despite him being the newest character in the game. (I also expect to see Varka appear on the list once he’s available. Although some think there might be a similar special grouping for the Knights of Favonius.)
Aside from owning the character, players also need to have these characters at level 70, at which point they can do some special “Witch’s Homework” that Alice has designed specifically for them. If Klee’s homework is anything to go by, the tasks will be pretty simple, and once complete, the new talent will be unlocked.
It’s also worth noting that the new update reset the To Temper Thyself and Journey Far event, and players are welcome to choose a new character to obtain a constellation for. Albedo, Mona, and Klee are among the characters players can choose from, so it could work nicely with the Witch’s Homework event.
