Arknights: Endfield’s First Big Update Comes With A Lot Of Optimizations
Finally, I can use Esc to leave the top-down view.

Over the weekend, Gryphline dropped a Dev Log video on YouTube, detailing the upcoming update for Arknights: Enfield. The update will introduce the factory-sim action RPG’s next batch of story content and two new Operators. (If you’ve been wanting to add Tangtang or Rossi to your team, you’re in luck.) It also brings with it a lot of feature improvements that will definitely fix those little annoyances.
The first 10 minutes of the 40-minute video are spent discussing the various changes and optimizations. For instance, when the update drops, PC players will be able to leave the top-down view at the AIC by hitting Esc or Caps Lock. That’s great for me, since I always hit Esc to leave, only to have it not work. Another great change is that once the recycling hubs are completely leveled, players will be able to collect from them remotely. No more making a long trip to that one remote hub. Character acquisition has been optimized, as has how the various facilities on the Dijaing work. And that’s only some of the changes.
As mentioned above, the new update will make the characters Tangtang and Rossi playable. Both will be accompanied by their signature weapons. And, new gear piece packs are being introduced as well. Rossi will also be featured in her own character quest.
As for the main questline, the Qingbo Stockade is under threat. That means Endfield will need to step up and help out Tangtang and her people. It also means Qingbo Stockade will be a new, explorable region.
Players can expect plenty of events – one of which seems to be the Endfield version of Power Wash Simulator. Details on the events and changes are available in the video below.
