MultiVersus Halloween Event Will Require A Heavy Grind To Unlock All Four Halloween Themed Items
Gremlins’ Stripe will also be entering the game.
Warner Bros. Games officially announced that Stripe, the main antagonist from the Gremlins franchise, will be the newest playable character in MultiVersus.
Additionally, the MultiVersus Halloween 2022 Update is now available and includes the Monster Mash in-game event. Players will earn “candy” in their matches that can be exchanged for rewards like Calico Cake Jake the Dog character variant, Mummy Reindog character variant, Pumpkin Patch profile icon, and Jack-o-Lantern sticker emote. The Monster Mash earnable rewards and Halloween-inspired cosmetic items will be available starting today, October 13, at 10 AM PT through November 8 at 10 AM PT.
The only issue with these free rewards is the hours that are needed to obtain them. Thanks to Video Games Chronicle, the amount needed to obtain all the items has been pre-calculated. The amount needed for each reward is as follows:
• Pumpkin Patch Profile Icon – 150 Candy
• Jack-O-Lantern Emote Sticker – 500 Candy
• Mummy Reindog Epic Variant – 3,000 Candy
• Calico Cake Epic Variant – 12,000 Candy
If players choose to not buy a premium skin, they will have to play a minimum of 783 games within the next 30 days to earn enough candy to unlock every reward. This is assuming a player wins every match, as more candy is given based on a win. Therefore, players will most likely have to play more than 800 games to unlock everything. If players purchase one of the premium skins that are valid for the event, they will be able to earn more candy per match. However, even then, players would need to play a minimum of 392 games.
Later this month from October 28 until October 30, MultiVersus will celebrate Scoobtober, the annual Scooby-Doo-focused Halloween celebration. There will even be a dedicated Twitch livestream of official Scooby-Doo content, including both full-length episodes from the Scooby-Doo television series and full-length films. Players who watch the stream can earn various rewards based on the amount of viewing time: 30 minutes – 10 toasts, 60 minutes – Scoobtober 2022 profile icon, 90 minutes – Pumpkin Spice ringout, and 120 minutes – Scoobtober’s Greetings banner.
Lastly, players can now sign up now for the MultiVersus Fall Showdown, a 2 vs. 2 online tournament series taking place from October 15 until November 20. The Fall Showdown has a prize pool of $60,000 and will be open to participants from three different regions - North America East, North America West, and Europe. For more information, players can visit the official site.
