Naraka: Bladepoint Brings Shanghai Museum Artifacts Into Rift Traversal
Players can now uncover legendary Chinese treasures and earn an exclusive Ziping Yin outfit.
NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment have teamed up with the Shanghai Museum for a unique collaboration in Naraka: Bladepoint.
The partnership introduces real-world cultural treasures into the free-to-play battle royale's Rift Traversal mode, adding historic authenticity to its treasure-hunting. From now until next year, players can uncover eight Great-Red–quality artifacts, beginning with the Famille-rose Bat and Peach Vase and the Camel and Sogdian Rider. Both pieces, symbolizing prosperity and Tang Dynasty artistry, have been recreated and can be collected in-game.
In addition to the artifacts, the update debuts an exclusive outfit for hero Ziping Yin, inspired by traditional Chinese motifs found on the vase. Players can earn this attire by participating in the Land of Treasures activity.
Naraka: Bladepoint is all about cultural preservation. Past projects include a reimagining of the classic painting Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains as a living 3D space and integrating the resonant Zenghouyi Bells into gameplay.
