This morning, Pan Studio offered players a look at the next big update for its free-to-play action RPG, Duet Night Abyss. Dropping June 2, “Silver Torrent, Rising Star” brings players back to the bitter cold of Icelake as players explore the new regions of “Flodia Bloomfield Station”. This new “train-bound” area has a distinct Victorian steampunk feel. Think of it like Snow Piercer, where your location on the train is determined by class.

The update will bring with it two new playable characters, a noblewoman named Flora and her maid Hilda. Flora uses the dark Umbro element in combat, while Hilda is armed with Pyro abilities. During the course of this update, the Phoxhunter will unlock an Umbro form as well, altering their appearance and abilities. Players will also be able to pick up six new weapons for their arsenal, including a polearm and a grenade launcher.

In addition, the update will make changes to the game’s various systems. With the launch of Silver Torent, Rising Star, players will have access to a guild system, offering them a way to bring friends together. An Asynchronous Co-op feature titled “The Immersive Theater: Ensemble Act” allows guild members to do dungeons as a group despite not being online together. Players will now be able to forge Calamity Weapons and look forward to visual improvements to the game’s first two zones as well.

As is typically the case with version update streams, this one includes three redeemable codes: JACKDAW, BLOOMFIELDSTATION, and LUNOTOOT. Be sure to use them before June 8.
