Tomb Busters Launch

If I were more of an extraction game person, I think I’d be pretty likely to give Giant Games’ multiplayer horror-comedy game, Tomb Busters, a try. At least, based on the trailer, I would. I won’t speak to the actual gameplay, as I haven’t tried it out. But the premise looks pretty fun.

The free-to-play extraction game has been available in China for a while and has apparently seen a good bit of success. Some of this is no doubt due to the fact that it’s a mobile as well as PC offering. According to the press release, the game has been downloaded more than 200 million times and sees around 10 million daily users.

Today, the game is available to download in the West, both on mobile devices and PC. So, those curious can give it a try.

The premise is simple. Take on the role of a tom raider employed by “The Supernatural Company” and explore tombs filled with traps and all kinds of monsters from Chinese folklore. Each monster will have its own unique abilities. Survive – either with friends or alone, while exploring and looting as much loot as you can. You can do a more surface-level exploration or take some extra risks to go deeper. Of course, if you die, all that loot is lost.

As noted, the game is available to download on PC. The client is available via the official website.
