Naraka: Bladepoint's World Championship Trailer Just Got Nominated For An Annecy Award
There are other animation powerhouses like Arcane and Apex Legends included!
Today, Chinese developer 24 Entertainment proudly announced that their leading IP, Naraka: Bladepoint, is up for nomination for an Annecy Award. It seems their World Championship Official Trailer not only looked badass but attracted the attention of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival!
For those not in the know, the festival is a highly competitive exhibit of animated films from various creators all over. With each of their unique techniques, whether traditional, cut-outs, claymation, or 3D CGI, there's a variety of films coming together in separate categories to celebrate the wonders that creators pull off. From ambitious student projects to polished films produced for television and advertising, the nominees were hand-picked and will show their work at Annecy France between June 13 to 18 this year.
Among the nominations at the festival are some very reputable names. One of them is the Netflix homerun hitter Arcane (2021), which isn't so surprising with its electrifying animation pumped up with energy and style. Apex Legends (2019) is also a contender at the festival, with loads more showing their faces to try and win recognition.
