It’s finally here!

Neverwinter’s latest expansion/”module”, Shadowmantle, just went live today. There’s quite an impressive amount of new features. Players will now get to experience using a bow in game for the first time thanks to the new class added, the Hunter Ranger. This bow wielding class has the ability to dish out ranged combat attacks and switch to melee in a blink of an eye. Did I mention you get to use a bow, yet?

In expansion tradition, there has been a new zone added, Dread Ring. Players will,”battle Red Wizards of Thay and prevent Valindra from raising a dracolich”. The new zone comes complete with a new campaign with “special rewards”. Oh boy! I hope I can get me a new bow from there.

But wait! There’s more! Shadowmantle is introducing Paragon Paths in the game for all the original classes. Now players will have sets of powers and features to choose from for each character. Be prepared for fire-wielding wizards!

To check out or to learn more about Shadowmantle and all the new features, head on over to Neverwinter’s page

This game is an epic fail, bug in all istance, Gm and MoD play other game, support very slow. They ruined th D&D mark, i hope the creator will bash that idiot of the Criptyc/Pwe in the ball.

A ranged/melee class hybrid? Suddenly I can hear the rage cries of the sweet the sound. No longer can Rogues dominate PVP. Now the OP class crying will be against the Rangers.

Still one server for everyone. I wish more games go that path.

Game received few optimization updates since launch. My system is far from top tear and still I get lags only in Protectors Enclave while running few windows and browser on background. All on highest settings. If you are interested in NW – defiantly give it try now.

Have this game gotten better ? Should I try this or stick to RIFT ?

    • ExHuman on December 6, 2013

..not sure what are you looking for, since those two are totally different.

Stay in RIFT. I Was playing Neverwinter before, but Perfect World sucks, RIFT have one of the best F2P systens in the world, Trion World is amazing and have a good support/events. PW will not give you a cookie for playing their games that is totally based on CASH. Sorry for my english, but stay in RIFT if you dont want to be dissappointed in the future.
