Revenant is back, with a vengeance.

Respawn Entertainment has revealed the new season for Apex Legends: Resurrection. And the star of the show is Revenant, who has undergone a transformation, gaining new abilities and a different appearance. Players can access Revenant throughout the shooter's season and permanently unlock him by completing in-game challenges. This season also features Mixtape's Broken Moon map, a revamped Charge Rifle, Ranked mode improvements, new community stickers, and the Death Dynasty Collection Event.

Revenant, previously haunted by anger and lack of control, experiences a sudden change, leading to new abilities. His passive, "Assassin’s Instinct," highlights low-health enemies and enhances his mobility. The tactical ability, "Shadow Pounce," enables a powerful leap, and his ultimate, "Forged Shadows," creates protective shadows that regenerate and block damage.

The Charge Rifle has been redesigned, firing charged energy projectiles that deal more damage the farther they travel. Mixtape introduces the Broken Moon map, featuring The Core and Production Yard. The Core offers high ground advantages and sightlines, while Production Yard delivers intense close-quarters combat. Ranked mode has received matchmaking improvements and adjustments to LP gains. Additionally, the Ranked rewards system has been revamped to offer an Epic Banner Frame instead of a Dive Trail for top players.

Then there’s the Death Dynasty Collection Event, which offers double XP rewards, limited-time cosmetics, and the opportunity to earn Revenant’s Death Grip Heirloom set by completing event challenges. Everything mentioned above launches August 8 with the new season Resurrection.
