New Free-To-Play MOBA Predecessor Launches Open Beta Today On PC, PlayStation, Xbox
Unlike others in the genre, this one has third-person perspective.

Predecessor is officially out today (in Open Beta)!
The new free-to-play MOBA game by Omeda Studios is available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox Series X|S. It follows Paragon, which was discontinued in 2018. Predecessor is a refined and expanded iteration of that title, now with crossplay across all platforms and expanded localization options.
Among the forthcoming enhancements are visual upgrades, the implementation of ranked mode, a new game mode, improved matchmaking, and the revamping of skins and items. The developers said that players can expect continuous fixes and updates throughout the year, too. Reportedly, the game has already amassed over 400,000 players on Steam Early Access thus far.
“Our goal was to elevate the MOBA genre into something fresh and enticing that players haven’t seen before, like the third-person perspective,” said Robbie Singh, CEO of Omeda Studios.
I guess we'll just pretend that SMITE's third-person view doesn't exist?
