Foundation: Galactic Frontier

FunPlus has officially released Foundation: Galactic Frontier — a large-scale sci-fi strategy title based on Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series and the Apple TV adaptation. Available now on iOS, Android, and PC, the free-to-play strategy game blends expansive storytelling with accessible, real-time strategy gameplay.

Developed by FunPlus’s Chengdu studio in partnership with Pa ramount Television Studios, Foundation: Galactic Frontier casts players as “traders” venturing into deep space to build crews, form alliances, and wage massive interstellar battles. The title features sophisticated strategy mechanics and cinematic storytelling, designed to appeal to both long-time fans of the Foundation saga and newcomers to the universe.

In this game, every decision carries weight. Players can choose moral cooperation to repel galactic threats or embrace self-interest to seize control and power. They can explore the comforts of their flagship “homestead” or command vast space armies in large-scale wars.

Since its beta phase in late 2024, Foundation: Galactic Frontier has added a portrait mode, additional ships, expanded narratives, and a variety of seasonal events. Players can recruit an eclectic mix of companions — ranging from robots to outlaws — and customize a fleet of original ships crafted with input from designers who previously worked on Fallout, Stargate, and Star Wars.
