AION Classic 4.0 Update Will Introduce Open PvP Zone Tiamaranta Mesa
“Light of Atreia” also adds Balic Treasury, an instanced PvPvE dungeon.
Gameforge has unveiled more details about AION Classic’s 4.0 “Light of Atreia” update, scheduled to launch on October 29. The update will introduce Tiamaranta Mesa, an open PvP zone divided into two levels (ground and sky) and designed for high-level players of the free-to-play MMORPG.
Tiamaranta Mesa serves as the main hub for endgame content beyond Level 60, open to both Elyos and Asmodians across the main server. The map is split between the Elyos-controlled western region and the Asmodian-controlled eastern region, with a central area occupied by the Balaur acting as the main battleground. This central warzone allows for intense faction-versus-faction conflict, with control points tied to the Watching Eyes — powerful foes whose defeat unlocks further content and strategic advantages.
The update also introduces the Balic Treasury, an instanced PvPvE dungeon where players can hunt monsters for treasure keys and compete to unlock special chests that appear at timed intervals. On weekends and Mondays, Teva Dimensional Rift Battles will open near the Tiamat Garrison and Balic Treasury, challenging players to repel Balaur invasions and protect Atreia’s rifts.
Also, players can expect scheduled raids, named monster hunts, and Shugo merchants offering rare goods throughout the new region.
