New World Heart Of Madness Update

Today, New World players were supposed to head to the Shattered Mountain in search of Isabella as part of the main storyline's final quest in the Heart of Madness update. Unfortunately, that journey has been delayed, but the good news is that the delay isn't all that bad. In fact, everyone can expect the update tomorrow morning, March 30.

The delay is due to a bug the devs found late in the testing process. It seems it was one of those they couldn't just deal with later, but needed to be taken care of before launch.

That little bit of bad news aside, players are still getting the March update in March along with all its related content. Of course, the big deal is the story finale, The Heart of the Tempest. This quest can be obtained from Yseult Meredith at the Mountain Home Outpost. Other quests are available from Mara Rosa in the cathedral.

The whole thing is capped off with the Tempest’s Heart Expedition, an end-game expedition for five players. To take part, it’s suggested that all players be level 60 and have gear scores of at least 550.

Of course, we already told you about the new weapons to expect with update. Once it launches, you can get your hands on the Blunderbuss, a close-to-mid-range weapon that scales on strength and intelligence. So, it’ll work for bruisers or mages – which is pretty nice. In fact, it boasts two weapon mastery trees. One gets players in nice and close, and the other does ranged AoE damage.

This is also the update that will add vista views, Rafflebones the loot collector, and the Forgotten Yeti, and bring back Stinky the Hunter. All of these new additions were announced in the last Dev Update video, along with a content roadmap that lays things out until Autumn.
