Report: Amazon Lays Off Lost Ark Staff
Including marketing lead Roxx and producer Henry Stelter.

It seems Amazon is going through another round of layoffs, this time affecting Lost Ark. At the moment, we don’t know how many members of the free-to-play MMORPG’s team have been affected, but we do know that some of them, including producer Henry Stelter and marketing lead Roxx, are among those who were. Both posted about the layoffs on Twitter. Those tweets were shared in a report on Massively OP.
While it’s obvious a portion of the game’s staff has been let go, it’s been pointed out that others have confirmed they are still at Amazon. While this isn’t good news for the game or its players, at least the game hasn’t been canceled or put into maintenance mode. I suspect this might be due to the fact that, unlike New World or The Lord of the Rings MMO, Lost Ark isn’t being developed by Amazon Games. Although they are responsible for localization and related adjustments.
Whatever the reason, it’s unfortunate that Amazon is executing another round of layoffs. Hopefully, not too many people will be affected, and those who have been won’t be in limbo too long.
