New World Nerfs Heavy Armor Dodge And Flamethrower (Finally) In This Month's Balance Of Power
The nerfs are in, boys and girls.
It's that time again. New World talks about the Balance of Power in the MMORPG, and what balance changes have recently been made or may be upcoming. The January balance patch is live now, and the team talks about the changes made in that patch.
Heavy equip loads have had their dodge cost increased, which is intended to give medium builds more value and prevent a heavy dodge meta. The Flamethrower ability has been nerfed, as has the spikiness in the Fireball ability.
Two artifacts were turned off due to issues recently. The Winged Leather Shoes had an issue where you could apply infinite haste. Boltcaster had an issue with the way New World does damage conversion. Those fixes came in yesterday's patch 4.0.3.
They then go on to talk about the future of balance in New World and what they want to look at going forward. You can watch the full Balance of Power episode in the video below.
