If you couldn't get enough of Bioware's Star Wars: The Old Republic, you will be thrilled at the announcement of their new expansion, Galactic Starfighter. This will mark the first time in SWTOR's history in which players can brawl it out in PvP combat, with 12v12 battles across a variety of modes. In addition, SWTOR will allow you to fully "customize your ultimate starfighter!” (We'll wait and see what that actually means.)

There will be perks for those of you who are current subscribers; you'll be showered with an unlocked gunship, paint job, and early access on December 3rd. Preferred status members will gain access on January 14th, and the full public release will go live on February 4th. But don't fret, both the early access and preferred status players will receive special in-game items including the aforementioned paint job along with titles, and pilot suits.

Having to pay real money to use "hide helmet" was pretty funny

I still don't know why people would pay money for this crap..

what does this offer more than star trek online that is worth paying for???

I was at 80% finishing the updates on star wars old republic then I saw all the f2p restriction and I just quit and uninstalled it.. now cryptic got my money because they don't charge me for stupid things like a bar..

12 on 12 dogfights...hmm..I wonder how this will react when lag is introduced..all those foreigners and BRs..

I predict a lot of raging and screaming.

Only positive feelings about SWTOR. Used to play that, and every group I'd joined to do quests, etc. was full of amazing people. It was fun. Raised 50 lvl tank completely on F2P. Good game, fellow players. Good memories =) May even come back. And wish all the best for the dev team, and players who enjoying SWTOR.

I was a subscriber for 2 months, incredible story but the slow leveling sucks so I quit. Once I got past the lower levels the quests got really difficult, this game is just too hard.

I know this is not the place to bring this up but I am going to any way. Blue Stacks is software that let's you play android games on the PC, if you can get it to work right. lol. There are a lot of free to play titles & some are awesome. So you can consider Blue Stacks as a client manager for a giant list of free to play games. You should have articles & vids covering Blue Stacks free to play games since it is going to blow up in the near future. This is a list of F2P games I have been testing with Blue Stacks.
Soul Craft
Galaxy Frontier
Crime City
Heroes of Order & Chaos
Heroes of Destiny
Just to name a few. I just hope Blue Stacks Fixes all the bugs soon. It is still in Beta & works fairly well I recommend checking it out.

Mounted 1st! The free to play model is kinda lame but I am glad they added another hot bar. The preferred status is a bit better. The pay to play model I have to admit is really fun. I have been a Star Wars fan since I was 6 & I like the story line a lot. I am not a big PVP player but the combat & looks of the game are really good. I just wish they would have done space missions like in Star Wars BF2. That was one of my favorite games for old school Xbox. lol. I also wish I can use a controller for space dog fights for this new content coming out. Mouse & keyboard just don't seem right to me for flight games. Although Star Trek Online hit the nail on the head when it comes to space combat with mouse & keyboard, so many space combat skills would not fit right for a controller for Star Trek Online.
